TEX4GREEN – Bio-based and Safe-and-Sustainable-by Design Textile Chemistry for a Circular and Toxic-Free Green Transition in Textile Sector

TEX4GREEN brings together 17 partners from 8 countries, which covers the entire textile value chain to address the urgent need to eliminate hazardous fossil-based chemicals from feedstock and textile production by developing, scaling up and demonstrating SSbD bio-based solutions across three critical value chains: optimize and scale lignin-based coatings, develop bio-based surfactants, and develop of bio-based dyes & fixing agents. These innovations will target textile applications in both technical and consumer sectors, such as sports, interior textiles and fashion, while ensuring performance, safety and circularity. All innovations will follow the Safe and Sustainable by Design approach, ensuring compliance with REACH and relevant EU textile and chemical policies.
