TEX4GREEN coordinator ITENE hosted the project’s Kick-Off Meeting in Valencia, Spain, marking the beginning of this ambitious initiative funded by the European Union under the Horizon Europe Programme and the Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking (CBE JU).
The meeting began on June 16th ,with a welcome address by our Technical Director Carmen Sanchez, who highlighted the importance of European collaboration and innovation in addressing the major sustainability challenges facing the textile sector. The session during the first day, led by Arantxa Ballesteros Riaza, laid the foundations for our initiative by aligning all partners around the roadmap, objectives and key activities that will shape the next four years of work. June 17th marked the conclusion of our project’s Kick-Off meeting, where we presented the final work packages and toured the ITENE facilities.
With a successful launch behind us, we’re looking forward to diving into the work ahead and play our part in driving a circular, toxic-free green transition for the textile industry.
